Most of the time when we report on sales, we often mention the year-over-year increase or percentage boosts that occur when comparing specific months. Today on our blog we're branching out to discuss the daily selling rate (DSR) that Toyota experienced in September which shows some impressive growth.

Based on the DSR from last month, Toyota sold a total of 164,457 vehicles. When compared to September of 2012, this is an increase of 4 percent. Customers in the Redding, CA area and beyond just can't seem to get enough of the new Toyota lineup and all of the latest style, innovation and technology that it has to offer.

Explaining how Toyota maintained strong sales, Bill Fay, Toyota Division group vice president and general manager states, "September was a solid month for the auto industry despite two fewer selling days. Industry fundamentals are strong as interest rates stay low and consumers remain confident."1

Looking more specifically at which models performed the strongest, the Toyota Camry maintained its status of one of the best-selling vehicles in the U.S by selling nearly 32,000 units. Not too far behind was the redesigned Corolla with 23,251 units sold. Toyota's lineup of hybrids remain popular as well with 23,500 vehicles finding their way to new driveways.
