What's new for the 2025 Toyota Camry?
The 2025 Camry undergoes a full redesign this year. The interior is overhauled offering a new refreshing design and ample new tech. Additionally, the exterior now has a new grille and headlights, and all gas-powered engines have been removed in favor of two hybrid powertrains.
Design
The updated Toyota Camry sees an overhaul to its exterior, complete with a new front fascia, thinner headlights, and a more angular hood. The interior has also been changed, and it features an updated dashboard design with a large trim piece stretching from the passenger's side to the infotainment display. Cloth seats still come standard - however, higher trims now feature leather upholstery. Heated seats, a heated steering wheel, ambient lighting, and adjustable rear-seat headrests are also offered in higher trims.
Performance
Toyota has now made all Camry models hybrids. A 2.5-liter 225 horsepower four-cylinder with two electric motors comes standard, with higher trims offering a 2.5-liter 232 horsepower four-cylinder with three electric motors. Each engine is attached to a continuously variable automatic transmission. However, only the base engine has front-wheel drive, and all other trims offer all-wheel drive.
Fuel Economy
At this time, the EPA has no official word on the 2025 Camry's fuel economy. However, given last year's Camry Hybrid got an estimated 51 mpg in the city and 53 mpg on the highway, we expect this year's engines to offer the same or better.
Technology
Along with a new design, Toyota has also given the Camry a vast array of updated tech. Every trim has a digitized gauge display, with the top two trims having a fully digital monitor. An eight-inch display with Toyota's latest software is also standard, and with it comes Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. Although, higher trims feature a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen.
Safety
Toyota is a brand with a stellar safety reputation, which shows in the new Camry. Standard features include automated emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control. More advanced features are available in higher trims, such as a head-up display, surround-view camera system, and parking sensors.
2025 Toyota Camry Trims
Four trims are available for the new Toyota Camry: LE, SE, XLE, and XSE.
LE: Sitting atop 16-inch alloy wheels, the base Camry comes with dual-zone automatic climate control with rear vents, an eight-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a wireless charging pad.
SE: Offers sportier touches, 18-inch black alloy wheels, and a plethora of new features. There's also a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters, a power-adjustable driver's seat, and aluminum sport pedals
XLE: A more upscale model with even more amenities. These include noise-reducing front side windows, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, leather upholstery, and heated seats.
XSE: Similar to the XLE but with sportier touches. Ridding on 19-inch wheels, the XSE also features a black rear spoiler and exterior badges, dual exhaust tips, and a sport-tuned suspension.
