What Engines Come Standard in the Toyota RAV4?

The heavier the vehicle, the more power is necessary to get it up and moving. The rules of physics cannot be overcome with a wish, the engine placed in a vehicle must be capable of propelling it down the road at a crisp pace even when the vehicle is fully loaded. However, overpowering a vehicle is dangerous. That is why Toyota put a special engine in the RAV4.

Toyota engineers chose an engine for the RAV4 with plenty of get up and go. The 2.5-Liter Inline-4-cylinder engine generates 176-horsepower at 6,000 rpm while creating 172 pound-feet of torque at 4,100 rpm. With that much power, the engine still gets 22 mpg in the city, 28 mpg on the highway, and 24 mpg combined when operating on regular unleaded gasoline.

At Lithia Toyota of Redding, we proudly display every trim of the Toyota RAV4.
